1).Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan has launched Intensified Mission Indradhanush 3.0.
- .This mission will be conducted in two rounds.
- The first phase will start from 22 February 2021 while the second phase will start from 22 March 2021.
- It will run in 250 districts or urban areas in 29 states and union territories.
- Apart from this, the minister also launched the IMI 3.0 portal and issued operational guidelines for the same.
- He also launched the awareness material or IEC package developed under the campaign.
- Under this scheme, the Department of Women and Child Development has allowed 48 Anganwadis in the states to construct new buildings.
- Smart Anganwadis will be constructed to provide early childhood care in a phased manner.
- These facilities will be set up to make it more child-accessible. In this way these facilities will promote mental and physical development of children.
- A total of nine crore rupees have been sanctioned for the construction of 48 Anganwadis.
- Smart Anganwadis are being designed and constructed under the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS)
