5).The SWAMIH Fund will deliver its first finished apartment in the year 2021. It is a 250 billion rupees fund set up by the Government of India. The fund was created to complete stalled residential projects.

  • The fund will hand over 16 projects consisting of more than 4,000 households in FY 2021-2022.
  • SWAMIH Fund was announced in November 2019.

6).The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and Arbor Day Foundation of the United Nations have recently recognized Hyderabad as the '2020 Tree City of the World'. Hyderabad was chosen following its commitment to develop and maintain urban forests.

  • This recognition is a testimony to the city's plantation, sustained and institutional efforts for tree-plant development.
  • It also marks the development of urban and semi-urban forestry works, projects apart from strategic planning and commitment to building a healthy city.
  • Other cities recognized by the organization include 120 cities from 63 countries. Most cities are from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Canada.
  • Following this recognition, Hyderabad will join like-minded cities that recognize the importance of trees.
