1).The third India Tourism Mart was organized on 18 February 2021. It was addressed by Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare. The event was organized by the Federation of Associations in India Tourism and Hospitality (FAITH) through video conferencing.

• It will be held from February 18, 2021 to February 20, 2021.

2).Israel announced on February 18, 2021 that it was developing a new ballistic missile shield called "Arrow-4" in collaboration with the US. This missile is being developed as another layer in the defensive system.

• Israeli ARO-2 and ARO-3 interceptors are already operational under the multi-layered system.
• This system can destroy missiles coming into the atmosphere and space.
• The development of Arrow-4 in collaboration with the US will result in further improvement in technology and operations.
• It will prepare countries for future battlefield threats.

3).Manika Batra has won the 82nd Senior National Table Tennis Championship. He defeated Reeth Rishia 8-11, 10-12, 11-1, 11-9, 11-5, 11-6 at Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex in Panchkula.

• Manika Batra will now compete in two WT Contender events which will start on 28 February.
• She will then participate in the World Olympic Qualifier and the Asian Olympic Qualifier in Doha.

5).The SWAMIH Fund will deliver its first finished apartment in the year 2021. It is a 250 billion rupees fund set up by the Government of India. The fund was created to complete stalled residential projects.

• The fund will hand over 16 projects consisting of more than 4,000 households in FY 2021-2022.
• SWAMIH Fund was announced in November 2019.
• SWAMIH stands for 'Special Window for Completion of Construction of Affordable and Mid-Income Housing Projects'.

6).The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and Arbor Day Foundation of the United Nations have recently recognized Hyderabad as the '2020 Tree City of the World'. Hyderabad was chosen following its commitment to develop and maintain urban forests.

• This recognition is a testimony to the city's plantation, sustained and institutional efforts for tree-plant development.
• It also marks the development of urban and semi-urban forestry works, projects apart from strategic planning and commitment to building a healthy city.
• Other cities recognized by the organization include 120 cities from 63 countries. Most cities are from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Canada.
• Following this recognition, Hyderabad will join like-minded cities that recognize the importance of trees.
