1).The government will amend two Acts to make privatization of public sector banks (PSBs) easier.

• Amendments will be made to the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970 and the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1980.
• These two Acts facilitated the nationalization of these banks in two phases.
• Now, for the privatization of public sector banks, the provisions of these Acts have to be changed.

2).(The World Bank has recently published its report titled "Traffic Crash Injuries and Disabilities: The Burden on Indian Society". The report was released by Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on February 13, 2021. The adverse impact of road accident on poor homes has been mentioned in this report. 3). India's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has launched the e-cantonment portal on 16 February 2021.

• With the launch of this portal, residents of cantonment areas can now lodge their complaints regarding civil problems.
• This portal will also help in resolving complaints about citizen issues from home.
• This portal will work with the aim of improving the system and improving 'Is of Living' for the people.
• The e-cantonment project was launched with the objective of providing online municipal services to over 20 lakh citizens.

4).India will host a virtual health secretary level meeting with member countries of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC). The meeting will be held on February 18, 2021. During this meeting, member countries will discuss the COVID-19 crisis. Pakistan has also been invited to attend this meeting.

5).Mahabahu-Brahmaputra Yojana is being launched for the purpose of connectivity in Assam. Many small and big projects have been included under this scheme. Its main goal is to make connectivity easier.
